Wave Wranglers
is a fantasy novel in the works from debut author Eric Nail.
Eric contacted me through a mutual friend and we began work on
this extremely fun and ambitious project. He had the ideas
and rough layouts in his head, and it was my job to put his
imagination to paper for the book jacket artwork. Below you'll
find the concept art that started the foundation of the
project and close ups of various sections of
the completed artwork. Directly below is the final finished wrap around
artwork for the jacket. All the told the final piece
ended up being roughly 18" x 25.5" completed in acrylic
watercolor. The title and additional verbiage and graphics
will be added once sent to press, and I'll post finished photos
of those once the book is completed.

want to personally thank Eric for the opportunity to work on
this project with him, and for not only being a very patient and
collaborative client, but for also becoming a great friend in
the process. I wish him tons of success with this
fantastic story.
